Altar Worker Steps

  1. Introduce yourself and ask their name.
  2. Capture their personal contact information by filling in the form.
  3. Ask them why they came forward and make sure they understand the significance of what they are doing.
  4. Feel free to explain the Gospel of Jesus again to clarify or make sure they understand their decision and what it will mean for them.
  5. Lead them in prayer of repentance (turning from sin and to Jesus) and surrender to Jesus as their Lord. Romans 10:9-10.
  6. Pray for them as you feel led.
  7. Ask if they want to confess anything or need freedom from any addictions or sins in their life. James 5:16.
  8. Put their name and number in your phone and make a note to reach out to them the following day to see how they are doing and to invite them to connect with you or someone in your local church. Plug them into your church!

Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior.
